Piano Lessons

My core job in teaching is to awaken everyone’s different sense and appreciation of music and to help them cultivate and articulate those in their performance through the development of musical knowledge and skill sets. With those musical tools, I believe that students can be equipped with the ability to think critically and independently about the way they play or interpret the music and let their identity shine through their performance. Additionally, I hope my students grow as a musician who could understand and appreciate music in a holistic view.

Therefore, my teaching method is grounded in a multifaceted approach, guiding them through not just performance skills but also theoretical, stylistic, and historical elements in music including music theory, rhythm, sight reading, ear training, performance practice, and so on.

Regardless of the level of performance, I offer individual-tailored lessons with constructive feedback, based on one's personality, needs, and goals.  In my studio, I host two main recitals each Spring and Fall semester as well as other performance opportunities including Austin District Music Teacher's Association/Texas Music Teacher's Association/Music Teacher's National Association festival and competitions. In addition, I prepare students for a masterclass, concert, audition, local competitions, and ABRSM exams.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to me.
