Teaching Experience

As a passionate educator with over a decade of experience, I have taught students of all ages and levels.

My teaching areas include piano, collaborative piano, class piano, chamber music, and music theory.  Students from my private studio in Austin have earned recognition in competitions and festivals such as the ISMI Concerto Competition, the Steinway Gallery Concerto Competition, and PianoTexas.

I currently serve on the piano and chamber music faculty at the Austin Chamber Music Center, Chamber Music Academy, and the International Summer Music Institute at the University of North Texas.

Teaching Philosophy

I believe every student has a unique musical voice—and my goal is to help them discover, shape, and share it with confidence.

My teaching approach is holistic, combining performance training with theory, rhythm, sight reading, ear training, and historical context. I tailor each lesson to the student’s personality, goals, and learning style, encouraging critical thinking and artistic growth.
